Stoggam is a melodic Progressive Rock band created by Composer/Multi-instrumentalist Peter Fallowell that is releasing its first album, 49 years after forming in 1977! The group, originally know as Maggots, never ‘officially’ split and the members always kept in touch.
During one of his ‘composing sessions’ in 2022, on listening to one of his more unusual ‘Rocky’ tracks (the new single ‘Feel Life’), Peter thought about his fellow band members, so he contacted them with a view to recording this song together. One thing led to another and the result is the new First album – ‘Expecting Different Results’ (EDR).
As there already exists a couple of bands with the name ‘Maggots’, the name has simply been reversed – We are ‘Stoggam’.
The compositions are influenced by classical music as well as artists such as Magma, King Crimson, Weather Report, Yes, Genesis and Can.
